About PCPIR (Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region)
PCPIR is a specifically delineated Investment Region planned for the establishment of production facilities for petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals.Government of Gujarat proposes to setup the Gujarat PCPIR (GPCPIR) at Dahej, spread over the blocks of Vagra and Bharuch in the district of Bharuch, south Gujarat.Site falls to the west of NH8 which links Delhi and Mumbai. The site is currently linked to the NH-8 via the Bharuch Dahej SH-6.
Project brief
It is a delineated Investment Region specifically planned for the establishment of production facilities for petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals. These sectors are well established in the country and have shown steady growth over the years. Hence, to promote investment in this sector, the government has decided to attract major investment, by providing a transparent and investment friendly policy and facilitation regime under for PCPIR planning and development.
Project details
Dahej PCPIR is spread over 453 sq. km. of brown field area in the Bharuch district. It is in close vicinity of other chemical estates, onsite chemical port & LNG terminal. ONGC Petro additions Ltd. (OPaL) and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) are Anchor Tenants.
